Well, folks, it was only a matter of time before this happened. After 36 straight weeks of not missing a single weekday posting a blog, I missed one. Yesterday came and went and as I was going to bed last night, I thought...oh dear. I didn't write a blog today.
(Okay, so anyone who knows me knows that the language I used was stronger than that. But you get the picture.)
You know what? It happens. Life is busy. Life is REALLY busy right now. And I haven't been writing in blocks like I used to, banging out five to ten posts at a time so I have some in the bank. I've just been waking up and trying to squeeze my blogging in around everything else, which obviously isn't the best tactic.
The lesson here is that if I'm still committed to writing 1,000 blogs (which I am), I need to get back to my process. Without process, especially in the midst of everything going on, I'm lost. To honor that lesson, I've blocked an hour on Sunday to write, so I'm not scrambling next week, trying to come up with pithy blog ideas at 6:45 in the morning.
Or forgetting altogether.
