#127: Merry Christmas (If That's Your Thing)

It's Christmas! (Don't worry, I'm not ignoring my family to write this blog. It was written more than a week ago, so I could enjoy whatever it is that I planned for Christmas morning between the time I wrote this and today. I like to call that Just-In-Time planning. It's a thing.)

If you celebrate Christmas, I hope you are having a wonderful day. It probably won't be anything like previous years, and like most things 2020, it might feel a little weird. But I hope you are enjoying it anyhow. I am probably passed out somewhere in a carb coma, a ring of eggnog around my mouth, ignoring an excited nine-year-old trying to figure out her new iPod.

And if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you are enjoying this lovely last Friday in December. You, too, could be passed out in a carb coma with a ring of eggnog around your mouth. I feel those are secular traditions that can be enjoyed by anyone.

It's been a wild year, and my Christmas wish for all of you, dear readers, is that we hold onto the good that came out of 2020 and use it to build an even better 2021.
