#141: Short-Term Pain, Long-Term Gain

Making changes in your sales team is never easy.

Letting go of high-performing salespeople who aren't a culture fit, reorganizing the entire team to prepare for scale, re-imagining compensation to create a more sustainable model - all of these things are hard, and can be very painful.

However, done right, they are only painful in the short term. The long-term pain of putting off these decisions is far worse, but we often delay making difficult decisions around our sales teams because we are avoiding the immediate consequences of our actions.

All transformation, though, involves risk, pain, setbacks and difficulty. Being willing to buckle down and face those challenges will make your sales team stronger, more functional and more scalable in the long run.
