#190: Going on Hiatus

It's no secret that things have been a little...hectic in my life lately. I've blogged about it here, and talked about it with my support circle. Both my businesses have gotten a lot busier, and I've realized that I'm not spending nearly enough time or energy on my physical and mental health.

Meditation went out the window, regular exercise has become a distant memory, and the boundaries I set up to manage my schedule were run over with a bulldozer. I'm not enjoying the things that I used to love (like daily blogging), and trying to keep up with my work demands (like daily blogging) is starting to overwhelm me.

I need a moment of re-assessment. More than a moment. This week, I'm taking a long weekend to spend part of spring break with Catherine and Brian at Red River Gorge, do some unplugged thinking/kayaking/hiking, and work on my strategic plan for Q2. It'll be interesting to see what stays, and what goes. I hope I can find a way to make daily blogging work for me, in a way that feels joyful and not like drudgery, and I'll be sure to report back when I return.

But until April 6th, this space will be quiet. Catch you on the flip side.
